Schick: I Want to Stay in Rome and Play Here

The Czech striker is finally playing good football. Although his performance was disappointing for a long time, Schick could be the right player to bring Roma back into the Champions League.

Patrick Schick is a talent, no doubts about that. But this is the moment to show off his qualities. The Czech striker scored a few goals in the past month and Di Francesco is giving him more possibilities to play. The Roma man spoke to Sky Sport ahead of the Serie A clash Atalanta-Roma.

“I’ve passed through both great and tough moments. When I got here [in Rome] I was not in perfect condition, then I was injured for two months. But I have great memories of the Champions League match against Barcelona. This is something that I will bring with me for a lifetime,” said Schick to Sky Sport Italia“I want to help the team and in the last few weeks, I felt good. I’m in good shape now.”

The Czech international knows that his performance is not enough for a top team and Dzeko has been very disappointing too. “We know that we have not scored so much, but it’s not just our fault. We have to improve all so that the strikers are able to score more consistently.”

Schick is not worried about the transfer market rumors. “You [the journalists] wrote about this but I want to play in Rome an stay here. Champions League? Nobody worries me. We only look at ourselves, if we win all the games we do not have to think about the others.”
