Rumors Link Malcom to Roma but Monchi Denies

The Brazilian prodigy is passing through a tough moment at Barcelona. Malcom moved to Spain last summer but rumors from the U.K. are reporting on Roma’s interest in the talented winger. Monchi, instead, denies negotiations.

Everyone still remembers what happened last summer. Malcom was supposed to fly to the Italian capital to sign a contract with the giallorossi but the Brazilian player was, instead, redirected to Spain by his agents. Barcelona snatched the talented winger from Roma.

The fury of Monchi still resounds in the secret rooms of Trigoria. But rumors from the United Kingdom are reporting on Roma’s interest in Malcom again. According to the British outlet The Sun, the giallorossi are in contact with Barcelona for the Brazilian. They would like to loan the youngster until the end of the season.

Tottenham Hotspurs are reportedly chasing the player as well. But apparently, Monchi anticipated his competitors by starting contacts with the Blaugrana.

Although everything is possible during the transfer market period, this negotiation seems to be unlikely. Recently, the Roma executive clarified that “a sporting director must understand that he represents the heart of the fans. Malcom made fun of the club and I care about the image of Roma.”

According to his words, Malcom will never wear the Roma jersey!
