Inter winger Matteo Politano had a great impact on the Italian Serie A. Spalletti trusts him and he remembers his idol Totti and the pressures of the capital of Italy.
Roma did not have the patience to wait for him or maybe Luciano Spalletti is the only one who really understood how to exploit his immense qualities. Matteo Politano is now one of the best players in Serie A and he recently spoke to La Gazzetta dello Sport about his adventure in Milan and past at Roma.
“The environment in Rome is heavy. It’s not easy to manage the pressure there,” said Politano to the Italian newspaper. “Di Francesco? It’s never easy to restart with many young players. He has lost four-five players this season.”
Recently, the former Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan had many issues with his new team, but Politano firmly believes the Belgian player will make a difference at Inter.
“Radja is a very strong player. He is fundamental for Inter and he will be decisive for us.”
Matteo Politano was also asked about his idol. “Totti has always been my idol. But I really liked Vucinic as well, he was fantastic at Roma. On a personal level, I’ve always admired Robben too. He was my point of reference.”
