The Italian coach analyzed the match just ended at the Atleti Azzurri d’Italia stadium. Atalanta dominated the scene in front of their fans recovering a three-goal gap. Di Francesco confirms that much more must be done to improve.

For all those who are not Romanistas, today’s match was a rare pearl of the Italian championship. But the Roma fans are furious for the performance of their idols. A shocking show in which the Lupi have granted a resounding comeback to Atalanta.

In the post-match interviews, Eusebio Di Francesco seemed to be very disappointed and sad.

“We made the right choices in the first half knowing that they were attacking with many players. But from a mental point of view, our work doesn’t end,” said Di Francesco to Sky Sport Italia. “The team has not healed. We have deficiencies to overcome.”

“We have lost many individual duels and wasted plays. If you are not able to react, this is a team [Atalanta] that kills you.  I changed the tactical strategy for strengthening our defensive line. We don’t have continuity and this is driving me crazy. We cannot be a top-level team if we do not change our approach. Whenever we are in trouble, we concede too much to our opponents.” concluded Di Francesco.
