Di Francesco: Champions League is the Most Important Thing

Eusebio Di Francesco | AS Roma

Roma coach Eusebio Di Francesco is happy with the performance of his men but the Coppa Italia win against Virtus Entella cannot overshadow the club’s real goal, the qualification to the next Champions League.

He is a man of football but also a careful manager of economic and human resources. Eusebio Di Francesco can celebrate today’s Coppa Italia win against Virtus Entella but he is also ready to focus on other objectives. The Champions League is a premium stage for him and his men as well. Moreover, the most important European competition for clubs represents an unbelievable source of revenues.

Roma got to the next stage of the Coppa Italia edition 2018-19 but the coach of the giallorossi is already focused on the next clashes.

“This is a very particular year for us and I hope De Rossi will be back with us as soon as possible. We want to give our best in both Coppa Italia and Champions League,” said Eusebio Di Francesco in the post-match press conference. “But we want to get to the fourth position to qualify to the next Champions League. The Champions League is the most important thing.”

“We need players and fewer injuries. Now we have continuity and I’m happy about that. We came back with the desire to start again. It’s never easy to do so,” continued the Roma coach Eusebio Di Francesco.
