The giallorossi made an official offer for the Croatian defender but Besiktas are still evaluating it. Roma want Vida.
The transfer market window is almost over and Di Francesco want a new addition to the Roma defensive line.
The Italian coach and Monchi have targeted the Croatia international Vida, a powerful defender with a great temperament.
According to Sky Sport, Roma made a formal step forward to sign him. The giallorossi have offered €7.5 million to Besiktas but the Turkish side is still waiting to reply.
As reported by the Turkish outlet Bip Sport, Monchi’s offer would have been rejected because Besiktas want no less than €10m for Vida.
But the Italian satellite channel, instead, believes that Roma are still waiting to know something from Turkey.
Meanwhile, one of the top Italian radio stations, Teleradiostereo, has contacted Besiktas’ sporting director who has gently refused to release any info about Vida’s negotiation, “I cannot comment on this at this time,” said Mr. Ali Naibi.
