Juventus defeat Roma at the Allianz stadium playing a great first half but suffering in the second 45 minutes.

The giallorossi left Turin with no points but albeit their performance has not been disastrous as many people would have expected, their efficiency is at the lowest level.

Juventus dominated the first part of the match by pressing high and moving the ball wide to find the right space to score. Their 62% ball possession is there to highlight their confidence and offensive attitude.

In the first 45 minutes, Allegri‘s men shot on goal 13 times, on target 4, off target 7, and 10 from inside the box. Juventus also collected 10 corner kicks while Di Francesco’s side closed the first half with 0.

But Roma‘s offensive inefficiency is clear when we analyze the stats relative to the second 45 minutes. The giallorossi have played a better football after the break managing the possession, 64% vs 36%.

Their apparent dominance did not produce a positive result because of a defective offensive game.

  • Total Shots: 4
  • Shots on Target: 2
  • Shots off Target: 0
  • Corner Kicks: 2
  • Big Chances: 0

In light of the stats reported above and albeit some have defined the performance of Di Francesco‘s guys very positive, Roma’s recurring offensive inefficiency is clear and must be solved in the January transfer window.
