Roma Pressing on Chelsea’s Batshuayi

The Belgian striker is closely monitored by Monchi. The Roma Sporting Director could finalize the deal with the British side in the January transfer window.

The giallorossi must do something to change the direction of this disappointing season. The forthcoming January transfer window represents a great opportunity for the Lupi.

Roma Sporting Director Monchi is monitoring several players because as Eusebio Di Francesco stated in a recent press conference, “we must do something on the market!”.

In the meeting with the owner of the club Mr. Jim Pallotta that took place in Boston last week, Monchi had the authorization to proceed with the acquisition of one or more players to improve the group.

In light of that, the Spaniard and the Italian coach want a new striker too. Patrick Schick has not convinced anyone and the club cannot longer wait for his rebirth. The new name is Michy Batshuayi, the Belgian striker who is currently playing for Valencia on loan.

Chelsea own the 25-year-old from Brussel who scored just 3 goal goals in 21 caps this season. Reportedly, the Spanish side is not happy with his performance and the player could be ready to leave for a new exciting adventure. Roma fit perfectly in the middle and as Mercato365 reported, Batshuayi is Monchi’s first target at this time.

Apparently, Roma have already initiated contacts with Chelsea to finalize this deal but Monaco and Crystal Palace are interested as well.
