Roma coach Eusebio Di Francesco spoke to the press ahead of the Serie A away match Cagliari-Roma.
It looks like the Trigoria training center has turned into a hospital. Several Roma players are now injured and the Greek defender Manolas is the last to add to an endless list.
In today’s press conference ahead of Cagliari-Roma, Di Francesco admitted that the center back is not fit and probably he will not be available for the match.
“Let’s see his situation today and tomorrow. But he suffered a bad hit and he almost cannot walk today,” said the Italian coach about Manolas.
“Florenzi will play as a fullback while a Fazio is totally recovered. Pastore and Perotti can have a little playing time. I would say that Pastore is fitter than Perotti but both of them are not starting the match tomorrow.”
“I don’t have many solutions. I’m thinking about everything that can help us. The best thing to do now is to pray,” said Di Francesco. “Marcano trained very well and could be a starter. It depends on Manolas if he will play. But against Cagliari we have to demonstrate that we made that necessary mental leap. Although we had a reaction against Inter, there are many things we have to take care of.”
