After a very disappointing beginning of the season, Bryan Cristante is now playing consistently at Roma. The midfielder spoke about his adventure in the Italian capital.
It’s not easy to play in the eternal city. Many players landed in Rome with high expectations but without knowing the incredible pressures of that environment. Although in the 2017-18 campaign, Bryan Cristante was elected the best midfielder of Serie A, his adventure close to the Coliseum started in a disappointing way.
The Roma midfielder retraced his first period in Rome speaking to the Italian outlet Sky Sport. “Rome has this particular warmth that you can find only here. The historicity of the city is shifted into the club as well,” said Cristante. “We will arrive in the first four. The goal is to enter the Champions League and we have all the credentials to do it. We must find only the right continuity.
“We are a great and united group. I’m feeling lucky. We did not do our best. It’s never easy in Serie A. We are working hard on the field. We found a certain team balance. But we must find the continuity we are lacking.”
“We are a young and strong team. Roma have a great future. Often young people can give that exuberance that is good. It takes a little more patience,” continued the Roma midfielder.
Bryan Cristante also praised Zaniolo and Daniele De Rossi. “He [Zaniolo] is proving that he will become a great player. He is doing very well and he must continue on this path. Daniele must be watched every day to learn as much as possible from him.”
