Reportedly, the former Juventus and Real Madrid man has been contacted by Roma. Zidane has gently refused the job.
This is a period in which many transfer market rumors are out there. Clubs are looking for new players to sign in the January transfer window and executives have always the opportunity to change the technical manager of their sides if something is going wrong.
Roma‘s multiple ups and downs have created a tough environment for Di Francesco and his group. The fans are disappointed with the huge gap the Lupi have accumulated from those team currently at the top of the Serie A standings.
According to the Spanish outlet Fichajes.com, the executives of Roma had contacted Zinedine Zidane to ask for his availability to lead the Roma technical project.
Apparently, the former Real Madrid coach has appreciated the call but gently rejected the offer. Likely, Zidane would be willing to accept another important job perhaps at Manchester United or Juventus.
Rumors were also reporting about an interest of Roma for the former Chelsea coach Antonio Conte. His high salary could be a problem, though. That of Zidane seems to be an insurmountable obstacle too.
