NZonzi-De Rossi, Roma’s Most Accurate Players

Daniele De Rossi - AS Roma

The Lupi are unexpectedly underperforming this season. NZonzi and De Rossi’s accuracy stands out.

In tough periods, a team must rely on skilled and experienced players. This is what Roma are doing so far. The first quarter of the season is now over and we can have a better picture of what’s going on in the Italian capital.

Roma are currently far behind the top teams in the Serie A standings. Although the Champions League campaign seems to be positive for Di Francesco and his group, the performances of the giallorossi in Italy have been very disappointing.

Two midfielders are among the most positive, though. Steven NZonzi and Daniele De Rossi have been the most accurate players in Di Francesco‘s roster.

Obviously, midfielders have the possibility of making more touches due to their central role. But it’s never easy to perform the offensive and defensive phase properly. The Frenchman and the Italian legend are doing well so far albeit Roma are unexpectedly struggling since the beginning of the 2018-19 campaign.

Pass Accuracy is a good parameter to analyze the ability of players to make an impact in a game. The ranking below takes into consideration all the matches played by the giallorossi so far. NZonzi sits in the first position while De Rossi is slightly behind the world champion. Surprisingly, Kolarov is on the third step of the podium followed by the two Roma center-backs Manolas and Fazio.
