Manolas: We Are a Young Team and We Must Have Patience

The Greek defender analyzed the match between Roma and Real Madrid speaking about the lack of experience of his team. Manolas believes that Roma were unlucky today at the Stadio Olimpico.

Kostats Manolas could not avoid Bale‘s goal after Fazio‘s unbelievable pass back. But the Greek defender is one of the most important players in Di Francesco’s roster.

The giallorossi lost today’s Champions League clash against Real Madrid. But the defender firmly believes that the sudden ups and downs of this team are due to the lack of experience of many young players.

“They scored a goal in a very unfortunate action. We missed three or four opportunities without scoring goals. After their goal, instead, we dropped back,” said Manolas to Sky Sport. “We are a young team and we must have patience, we need experience. We saw that we were superior but we did not take advantage of the opportunities. When you play against Real Madrid, you can pay the consequences of your mistakes.”

The Greek international also spoke about his future. “I’m not interested in the transfer market. I’m feeling good at Roma. I’m playing a good season but we must find continuity as a team. We are young and we must be patient. We have to start from the first half, there is a great match against Inter,” concluded Manolas.
