The giallorossi collect three pivotal points against CSKA Moscow. Manolas breaks the deadlock with a peremptory header.
Roma defeated the Russian side in the fourth match of the 2018-19 Champions League. Di Francesco’s men have outperformed the rivals tactically and technically in front of 60,000 Russian supporters.
Once more, Kostas Manolas have scored a great goal. His header resembles that against Barcelona in the 2017-18 Champions League quarterfinal.
The Roma defender was interviewed by Sky Sport Italia right at the end of the match. “This was a very complicated match. But we always do well in these moments,” said Manolas to the Italian satellite channel.
“We are doing what we can. But I’m sure we will find the necessary continuity from now on. We should have won the last three matches as well. We should have won against Napoli and in Florence. We can think positive.”
The Roma fans are enjoying his legendary Champions League goals. The Greek defender is a threat to the opponents when Roma play set pieces. His header today broke the deadlock in a very tough away UCL game against CSKA Moscow.
“I’m the Champions League man,” said Kostas Manolas laughing.
