The Serbia international Aleksandar Kolarov spoke to the press ahead of the matches against Montenegro and Lithuania.
Roma fullback Kolarov has been summoned by the coach of the Serbian national team for the double match against Montenegro and Lithuania.
“I am happy with the victories we obtained in October,” said the Serbian legend at the press conference. “The qualification is in our hands. We are confident in the matches that await us. I expect good results”.
He then also found a way to joke with journalists who told him that the team played well and won also without him.
“I’m happy that the team plays better without me, so I can quietly retire,” replied Roma’s experienced left-back.
The 33-year-old from Belgrad (Serbia) made 81 appearances with his national team scoring 11 goals. On May 28, 2008, Kolarov debuted with the Serbian selection. Roma, instead, purchased him from Manchester City in summer 2017 paying a €5 million fee. Since then, he made 61 caps with the giallorossi scoring 5 goals and 16 assists.
