The Dutch winger feels more comfortable playing in the Italian capital. Roma pursued Justin Kluivert last summer and now the offensive player is ready to prove his qualities.
The international break is now over and the Roma players are back at Trigoria to train for Sunday’s Serie A match against Udinese. Justin Kluivert wants to impress the fans and his coach even more. The Dutch-U21 international spoke to Sky Sport Italia about his present moment in the eternal city.
“I’m very happy here. I can not wait to discover the future,” said Kluivert to the Italian outlet. “Monchi was very convincing. I am very happy with the decision I made. He spoke to me in a special way. He told me that everyone wanted me. I feel very confident”.
His father told him that the Italian championship is very competitive. Justin Kluivet admires his dad but also the Portuguese prodigy Cristiano Ronaldo. “I’m dreaming of scoring in each match and I would like to do so against Real Madrid as well. Everyone must be afraid of us in our home. I’m curious about the result but we can win the group stage.”
Daniele De Rossi is a role model for the Dutch winger too. The Roma captain has the power to impress everyone for his dedication and passion for the giallorossi. “He sent me a message before I came here. He told me that he was happy and that he couldn’t wait to work with me. This motivated me a lot. He is a phenomenon on and off the field,” said Kluivert to Sky Sport Italia.
The Roma winger is now ready to face Udinese in a very tough away match. “They are a good side but if we play well we can win. It’s going to be an important match for us. I have to improve each day in the things my coach and my team want. I can improve in the defensive phase and I’m working hard on that. But I can improve offensively as well to score more goals.”
