Former Roma and Inter striker Marco Delvecchio believes that both sides are experiencing issues so far and it will be a tough match.
The Roma fans are still in love with their former atypical striker. Delvecchio lifted the most important trophy with the giallorossi. His team obtained a deserved Scudetto with Fabio Capello on the bench. In that Roma, the Italian player was redirected on the flank to balance the team in the defensive and offensive phases.
On Sunday, Roma will host Inter at the Stadio Olimpico. Both teams are coming out of a tough Champions League round having lost their respective matches.
“I believe both teams will face each other with the same mental state. But Roma has a physical disadvantage due their multiple injuries,” said Marco Delvecchio to the Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“As always, everybody can be blamed in these tough moments. The coach, the players and the executives of the club are all responsible. Now, it’s necessary to take care of this situation without blaming people.”
“The environment is hot but the team must remain united. Moreover, they should start getting good results. Victories can help mentally. That’s why I believe Sunday’s match can be very important“.
“If they will win they could get back on track. Roma have proven to be able to surprise in these difficult times“, said the former Roma and Inter striker Delvecchio.
