Roma General Manager Mauro Baldissoni is convinced that everybody will see the potential of the giallorossi.
Although Juventus have been leading the Italian Serie A in the past seven years, Roma, Napoli and now Inter have been desperately chasing the bianconeri.
In a recent interview with the Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma General Manager Baldissoni admitted that economic availability makes the difference in today’s football.
“Juventus have more economic resources but here [in Rome] there’s passion,” said the Roma executive. “We have to challenge the best, so Juventus. But we know they start from a remarkable advantage in terms of economic availability.”
“Sometimes, we are disappointed because we would like better results. Others, instead, have the pleasure of taking advantage of the inconveniences and controversies that this team lives on,” continued the General Manager.
In October, Mauro Baldissoni had said similar things to the Roma shareholders in a reportedly fiery meeting. The executive had highlighted that “the Roma project is developed on essential economic rules and high management costs are necessary to maintain a high level of performance.”
Although Roma hit their historical record for revenues collected this year, Juventus are still far ahead of the giallorossi.
