Italy international and Roma fullback Florenzi is ready for the next UCL clash but wants his team to give its best from now on.
He played a great derby on Saturday but Alessandro Florenzi knows that his performances and those of his teammates must be consistent in the long run. The Roma fans have celebrated the victory against their city rivals in the Italian capital making fun of Inzaghi‘s men and flooding the social networks with hilarious pictures.
However, today is another day. The post-match hungover is over. Tomorrow, Roma will face Viktoria Plzen in a very tough Champions League match at Stadio Olimpico in Rome.
Florenzi analyzed the current moment of the giallorossi in today’s press conference ahead of the European clash.
“I believe Roma must give their best always because we do not want to stumble again getting bad results,” said the Italian full-back. “Anyway, everything starts from our minds.”
Florenzi will wear the captain armband tomorrow due to De Rossi‘s absence.
“I’m and I will always be very proud to wear that band and to represent the colors of Roma. But I hope Daniele will wear it still for a long time.”
The Italy international also commented on rumors of a discussion between him and Edin Dzeko.
“Nothing has ever happened between me and Edin. We are great friends even off the field,” clarified Alessandro Florenzi.
