Roma winger Stephan El Shaarawy has released an interview to Gran Galà del Calcio.
The Italian Egyptian offensive winger retraced the best moments of the past season with the giallorossi. Stephan El Shaarawy has also praised his young teammate Cengiz Under.
“I let other people assess my past performance. I can only say that that was a positive season. We did great things in the Champions League,” said El Shaarawy to the official website of Gran Galà del Calcio as reported by La Roma24. “I passed through a period of great continuity and I did well. I’m quite satisfied but I’m hoping to do better.”
Roma’s offensive player has also spoken about the amazing Champions League match against Chelsea. That was the most exciting game for him.
“I’ve scored a brace. That was an amazing evening. Thinking about a collective effort, I would say that the 3-0 win over Barcelona has been a unique emotion, a historic win after an incredible comeback.”
According to El Shaarawy, Cengiz Ünder has been the most impressive Roma player so far. “I’ve been following his growth and albeit he had some difficulties in the beginning, now he made us jump in quality. He helped us to reach the Champions League semifinals.”
