Barcelona and Malcom, an Uncomfortable Situation

The Blaugrana hijacked the Roma deal bringing the player to Spain when he was almost in agreement with the Lupi. His adventure at Barcelona is very disappointing as confirmed by his agent.

The Malcom saga is still vivid in the minds of the Roma fans. The Brazilian prodigy had virtually signed a contract with the giallorossi when Barcelona decided to bid high in order to bring the winger to Spain. Monchi was furious and after a moment of uncertainty decided to redirect his attention on Steven NZonzi.

Barcelona snatched Malcom from Roma but, apparently, the coach of the Spanish giants Valverde is not in love with him. The player has been relegated to the stands a few times and played only 25 minutes since the beginning of the 2018-19 campaign.

In a recent interview released to RAC1, Malcom’s agent expressed his dissatisfaction for the situation his client is experiencing at Barcelona.

“It’s difficult to explain. All players need a period to adapt and Malcom has had enough time to do it. He did not play so far but he will demonstrate his quality when he will have the possibility to do so.”

“He is feeling good and he wants to play. He does not like this situation, but he is focused and very motivated. He is calm and has not considered a change.”

“The club said Malcom will have his chances. It is not right to put pressure [on Barcelona],” said Malcom’s agent

The Brazilian talent could have been a great addition for Di Francesco’s roster. He would have played on both offensive flanks replacing Under or El Shaarawy. His choice has been different. Who knows what could have happened in Italy.
