Roma Invest €800m but their Fans are Unhappy

The defeat against AC Milan at Stadio San Siro last Friday poured inflammable liquid on the moody supporters of the Italian capital.

“Everyone wants to win. Roma is a particular place. People want a trophy because they have been waiting for a long time,” said Francesco Totti to the official channel of the club ‘Roma Tv’. “But only one team is winning, Juventus.”

The legend of the eternal city talks like a fan rather than an experienced director. Although this is his second season as Roma director, Totti is more than an institutional figure of the club of Trigoria. The giallorossi are his eternal love and the formal words that a manager should use to interact with the fans will never fit with his natural and kind personality.

Juventus play a different league, we cannot hide that. We have to compete against AC Milan, Inter, Napoli and Lazio. We play a secondary league. The goal of the club is to reach between the second and fourth position.”

“In order to improve, we should get to the Champions League final and win the Italian title. But the truth is that we want to pass the group stage and stay united because only with a united team you can reach your goals,” clarified the former Roma captain.

Although Monchi reshaped heavily the roster in the past transfer window, Totti believes in the qualities of the players who joined the group last summer.

“We cannot judge Monchi after three matches. This is just the beginning of the season. If we lose ten consecutive games so I would be questioning his operate. But now we just have to go ahead because four points in three matches against Torino, Atalanta and AC Milan are not bad.”

“Only one team can win every match, Juventus. We cannot find alibi, we have a strong team and we have to fight for the Scudetto.”
