Roma Face Themselves and Win 4-0 (Stats)

Curva Sud | AS Roma

The giallorossi collects three deserved points at Stadio Olimpico in front of 35,000 fans. Roma scores four goals against Frosinone.

Eusebio Di Francesco and his group reacted to a shocking beginning of the season and won their first home match. The Italian coach played a convincing 4-2-3-1 devastating Longo‘s men. The three offensive players behind Schick made a difference today.

El Shaarawy performed the offensive and defensive phases with endurance and tactical wisdom. Javier Pastore played as trequartista, demonstrating, once more, that his natural role is the one behind the striker. Cengiz Under plowed the right offensive flank since the beginning of the match. The Turk scored the opener being a constant threat to the opponents.

Everybody was expecting a reaction from Di Francesco’s men. Although the match against Frosinone cannot be considered conclusive of a negative general situation, the giallorossi made tactical progress today. Simple but fast plays that have stunned the opponents.

Even De Rossi and Nzonzi seemed to be a possible pair today. Although their first couple of appearances together left a bitter taste in the mouth of the Roma fans, the Frenchmann, and the Italian legend shared the tasks in midfield.

A propositive and organized group that demolished Frosinone with no mercy and demonstrating relevant technical qualities. The only negative note comes from Patrick Schick. Although the Czech striker played in his favorite role, he lacked the anger needed to lead his team to success.

Roma defeat Frosinone at Stadio Olimpico. A necessary step forward to hope for a better future.
