Roma collect pivotal three points at Stadio Olimpico scoring three goals against Lazio in the Derby della Capitale. Simone Inzaghi admits the superiority of the giallorossi.
It has been a tough match tactically well played by both sides. But the competitive nastiness of the Lupi made the difference today in the eternal city. Although Lazio led the operations in the first quarter of the game, Roma managed the pace of the game from there on. Eusebio Di Francesco played a convincing 4-2-3-1 and outperformed the Biancoazzurri in the Derby della Capitale.
Lazio’s coach Simone Inzaghi admitted Roma’s superiority in the post-match interviews.
“I think they were hungrier than us today. We suffered three goals from three free-kicks. We did well in the first half. Roma were superior to us and they deservedly won.”
“We are not looking for an alibi. We played good 20 minutes in which we would have deserved something more. But we needed to do something more to win the derby. Our position in the standings is good. We must look forward. We do not have to make drama but we have to look ahead.”
“We are sorry for the fans. Roma had something more today and they deserved more,” concluded a disappointed Inzaghi.
