Former Legendary Coach Believes in Roma Title Chances

Fabio Capello is not sure Juventus will demolish the Italian Serie A this season. The giallorossi are in the race for the title.

Although he brought the glory to Rome when he led the team of the Italian capital to a historic Scudetto in 2001, Fabio Capello is not really loved by the Roma fans. His adventure with the Lupi suddenly ended when the coach decided to leave the eternal city to join Juventus, an inadmissible outrage that will never be forgiven by the Roma fans.

The former Roma and Juventus coach has been interviewed by Italian newspaper ‘La Stampa’. Fabio Capello was asked about the challenge for the Italian title and surprisingly he doesn’t believe the bianconeri will demolish the ambitions of their competitors.

“In my view, this year it will be more difficult for them [Juventus]. AC Milan, Roma, and Inter have reduced the gap. Even Napoli are always there [competing for the title].”

Capello has been an efficient football manager at 360 degrees. He knows how to manage a roster with many experienced players and rising stars. Although Monchi has reshaped the group and the club has “lost many experienced players,” the giallorossi are still a top-side and “if Di Francesco will be able to reorganize the backline, Roma can achieve some of their goals,” said the former manager of the English national team.

Fabio Capello believes in Roma for the Scudetto. A judgment to take into account, the legendary Italian coach knows the subtle mechanics of football.
