Fazio: “We Have to Analyze Things with Clear Heads”

Roma leave Milan with zero points and a lot of doubts. This is one of the worst beginning of the Serie A of the past five years for the giallorossi but Fazio spreads positive words.

The Lupi are not hungry and angry anymore. Di Francesco’s side suffered a heavy defeat at Stadio San Siro on Friday having played a sloppy match in front of Gennaro Gattuso‘s hungry beasts. The 4-2-3-1 implemented by the Roma Italian coach did not have a positive effect on his players who entered the field confused and demotivated.

This beginning of the season has been very tough for the Spanish defender Federico Fazio as well. The former ‘General’ of the Roma backline is not performing well after having traveled to Russia for the 2018 World Cup. The defender analyzed the situation right after the defeat against AC Milan.

“Now we have to analyze things with clear heads because we have a couple of weeks before the next game. The Champions League will be starting soon too,” Fazio said right after the unfortunate game in Milan.

“It’s hard to assess our physical condition having played only three Serie A matches. Perhaps we lack a bit of cohesion. We need to be more united on the pitch.”

“I know that this team has a lot of quality. If we work hard we will get a lot better. We need to rediscover the right way to play,” the Roma defender concluded.

Eusebio Di Francesco must work hard to find the right tactical approach for his side. The 4-2-3-1 could be the right way to play but the team needs more speed on the offensive flanks to create dangerous opportunities. Cengiz Under and Justin Kluivert could make a difference supporting Dzeko‘s efforts in this season.
