Dzeko Hoping for a QPR Moment in Rome

The Bosnian star released an interview to “ThePlayersTribune.com” and spoke about his career so far.

Edin Dzeko probably is the best pure striker Roma ever had. Wait for a moment…I am not forgetting Francesco Totti. But if we leave the Italian legend out of this topic, we can definitely agree that the Bosnia international is a super player who performed even better than Batistuta at Roma.

His career speaks for himself. His glorious past at Wolfsburg and Manchester City is there to confirm that Roma made a sublime purchase a few years ago.

In his long interview with the British outlet, Edin Dzeko reaffirmed his admiration for Francesco Totti and his passion for the eternal city.

“I’ve played football in many countries but Rome is the only place where I feel like at home. Although Bosnia and Sarajevo will always be the first choice for me, Rome is a great second place,” stated the striker.

“Rome is a place where I can play football without problems. My family is happy here. “

“The most surprising thing is that I can call ‘friend’ Francesco Totti. I would have liked to come here before because I could have scored many more goals with him. I’m very happy about being in Italy.”

In reference to the great Champions League night against Barcelona, Dzeko stated: “That was our QPR moment. [remembering when Manchester City won the Premier League title in the extra-time against QPR.]”

“We were running like animals. We were giving our best. Tactically, we were perfect. We could have scored five or six goals. It’s weird to say that when you’re facing Barcelona. We were dead but we came back to life. It’s something that can happen to Manchester and Roma. It can happen everywhere. This is football,” concluded Edin Dzeko.
