Captain De Rossi Looking for a Streak of Victories

Daniele De Rossi led his teammates to a great win in today’s Derby della Capitale. The Roma captain wants to go ahead on this positive path to climb the Serie A standings.

He is a player for his beloved team and a passionate supporter of the giallorossi as well. Although today’s three points have an incredible value for Roma, the captain of the Lupi always feels something special in his heart. Di Francesco‘s men dominated the game at Stadio Olimpico in today’s Derby della Capitale. Finally, the tactical approach implemented by the Italian coach fitted marvelously with the qualities of his players.

The 4-2-3-1 played with De Rossi and NZonzi in front of the backline and with two wingers (El Shaarawy and Florenzi) able to protect the midfield in the defensive phase seemed to be a perfect mechanism that must be replicated.

In the post-match interviews, Daniele De Rossi analyzed the Derby.

“We are a team that is recovering a correct and concrete way, we are serious people. When things go wrong everyone is questioned…the club, coach, and players. But today we have demonstrated our dedication.”

“The derby is always a tough match and today it was a very hot day. We deservedly won the game.”

The midfielder wanted to dedicate today’s victory to his friend Walter Sabatini because “he is a person that I love so much and to whom I send a big hug.”

Sometimes, a victory in the Derby della Capitale can change the course of a season and the Roma captain hopes this will be the natural consequence. “It happened before, maybe even winning other direct matches. We collected just a few points because we were experiencing problems so far. Now we do not have to relax. We’re fine and we played well with Frosinone and today. We will continue to put this intensity to reach an important streak of victories,” concluded a satisfied De Rossi.
