Barcelona Poised to Plunder Roma Again

The Spanish giants are chasing Monchi, the experienced sporting director of the giallorossi.

Although many fans of the Italian capital are harshly criticizing the sporting director, football pundits operating abroad blindly believe in the qualities of the Spaniard.

Monchi will be facing a crossroads next summer.

According to ‘El gol Digital’ Barcelona are chasing Monchi. The blaugrana joined the race to sign the experienced Roma professional and are now challenging Manchester United.

Reportedly, the Red Devils are also thinking of snatching Andrea Berta from Atletico Madrid. If Manchester United will sign the Italian director, Barcelona would face no competition to find an agreement with Monchi.

The Spaniard is not thinking of leaving Roma at this time. Although he is criticized for the extreme trading strategy put in place last summer to reshape the Roma roster, the Spanish professional is focused on going ahead with his technical project in Italy.

Monchi and Roma president Pallotta totally agree on the technical strategies to be pursued to achieve financial and sporting success. As the sporting director often said, in Rome he has the possibility to work as he prefers. Monchi chose this club to operate on the market as he has always done at Sevilla FC. He wants to discover rising stars bringing them to football elite.
