The former Roma striker and current executive of Bayer Leverkusen spoke about Leon Bailey and the future of the talented Jamaican winger.
Leon Bailey is a top name in this transfer window. Several clubs are interested in signing the youngster but his price-tag is definitely high.
Roma have been linked with Leon Bailey for sometimes but multiple Italian outlets have reported that sources close to the club denied an interest in the left-footed right-winger.
Bayer Leverkusen‘s executive and former Roma striker Rudi Völler has clarified the current situation. “We have not received offers for him. But we will not refuse an important amount. However, nothing has happened at this time.”
Völler’s words seem to open the doors to a possible move of the Jamaican prodigy. Leon Bailey would be willing to move to a top European club and play the Champions League. Just a few days ago, the player released an interview to the German outlet ‘Kicker’ and stated:
“There’s concrete interest from Roma, Chelsea, and Liverpool. If a club wants me, my management and Bayer04 will take care of it.”
