Roma, Gonalons Poised to Join Sevilla FC

Maxime Gonalons

The French midfielder seems to be ready to move to Spain in order to find the necessary playing time. Di Francesco and Monchi are pushing the guy to accept the destination.

That Maxime Gonalons’ position at Roma was unstable seemed to be obvious when Monchi and Di Francesco decided to sign Steven NZonzi. The former captain of Lyon did not play well in the last 12 months and his departure is the natural consequence of poor performances.

A French player has arrived and another one is ready to go! Reportedly, Monchi is negotiating the midfielder with his former club Sevilla FC. The Spanish side have sold NZonzi to the club of the Italian capital a couple of days ago but now they are interested in signing Maxime Gonalons.

The Roma midfielder has refused several offers from the Premier League this summer, but NZonzi’s arrival in Rome has changed the cards on the table. Gonalons is likely to be excluded from the Champions League list so the best thing to do is to try an experience elsewhere.

According to several Italian outlets, the Roma sporting director is finalizing the agreement with Sevilla FC. Maxime Gonalons should be joining the Spanish side in the next few hours.
