Just a Few More Hours Before Serie A Starts!

The Italian Serie A is ready to begin! Several great players joined the league. Cristiano Ronaldo will be the star but Roma wants to play an important role in the 2018-19 campaign.

Just a few more hours before Serie A starts! This season, the Italian league is more interesting than ever. Top stars joined the ‘campionato’ of the ‘Bel Paese’ and albeit the Portuguese prodigy Cristiano Ronaldo said yes to Juventus probably increasing the gap with the other teams, the giallorossi are angry and want to do well.

Juventus is the winner of the past transfer window having signed the five-time Balon d’Or and having also kept almost all of their jewels.

Roma and Milan did a good job as well. The sporting director of the giallorossi has signed 12 players. Talented youngsters and top-quality midfielders have joined the Eusebio Di Francesco team. Kluivert and Cengiz Under could give a boost to the offensive phase of the Lupi. Steven Nzonzi, Javier Pastore, and Bryan Cristante, instead, could provide more consistency and dynamic to the Roma midfield line.

Milan has purchased Caldara and Higuain…two great blows for a club that is passing through difficult moments. The ownership of the rossoneri has changed once more but Gattuso & Co. are hoping for the qualification to the Champions League.

Inter made Luciano Spalletti happier than ever having purchased several top players at discount. Asamoah, De Vrij, and Nainggolan are definitely great additions to the roster. But the most impressive player so far has been the talented Lautaro Martinez. Can he make a difference in the Italian Serie A? We’ll see!

Napoli and Lazio have been quite this summer. The partenopei have signed Ancelotti but the Italian experienced coach must implement a new and efficient tactical system to the team. Maurizio Sarri has joined Chelsea and who knows if Napoli will be competitive in the 2018-19 campaign.

Lazio‘s president Lotito and sporting director Tare, instead, have been conservative this summer. Although they have signed only a few players not well-known at these latitudes, they deserve a mention for not letting their talented start Milinkovic Savic go.

As Eusebio Di Francesco said during his press conference ahead of the match Torino-Roma, “The quality in Serie A has increased across the board. It will be an even tougher league.”
