Champions League 2018-19: Prize Money Higher Than Ever

The Champions League edition 2018-19 is ready to begin. The clubs can benefit from higher revenues.

The four Italian clubs qualified in the 2018-19 Champions League are happier than ever. The new prize money wanted by Ceferin and UEFA can seriously give a boost to the finances of the top European clubs.

The overall prize money for the teams that will participate in the most prestigious international competition for clubs is 1.95 billion.

In reference to the performance bonus in the 2018-19 Champions League, UEFA has established as follows:

2.7 million per victory;

900,000 per draw.

The clubs that will be able to pass to the next round having qualified in the first two positions of the group stage can earn even more.

9.5m for the qualification to the round of 16;

10.5m for the quarterfinals;

12m for the semifinals;

15m for the final match.

The Champions League draws will take place on August 30, 2018, in Montecarlo.

Roma will bank at least 35.6 million for having qualified to the 2018-19 Champions League.
