The Champions League edition 2018-19 is ready to begin. The clubs can benefit from higher revenues.
The four Italian clubs qualified in the 2018-19 Champions League are happier than ever. The new prize money wanted by Ceferin and UEFA can seriously give a boost to the finances of the top European clubs.
The overall prize money for the teams that will participate in the most prestigious international competition for clubs is €1.95 billion.
In reference to the performance bonus in the 2018-19 Champions League, UEFA has established as follows:
–€2.7 million per victory;
–€900,000 per draw.
The clubs that will be able to pass to the next round having qualified in the first two positions of the group stage can earn even more.
–€9.5m for the qualification to the round of 16;
–€10.5m for the quarterfinals;
–€12m for the semifinals;
–€15m for the final match.
The Champions League draws will take place on August 30, 2018, in Montecarlo.
Roma will bank at least €35.6 million for having qualified to the 2018-19 Champions League.
