Roma Extreme Trading Strategy Brings Top Profits

The Giallorossi are very close to finalizing Alisson’s deal with Liverpool. Monchi made relevant profits by selling top players in the last two years.

This is the Roma way and the fans of the Giallorssi must cope with this extreme trading strategy. Although the former Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini was implementing the same approach, Monchi is maximizing profits lately.

In the past two years, the German right-back Rudiger has been traded out to Chelsea for €35 million. His departure came right after Pjanic‘s suffered goodbye to the Serie A rival Juventus for €32m.

The Spaniard, though, made Roma bank even more in the current transfer window. Suddenly, Monchi decided to sell Radja Nainggolan to Inter. The Belgian star left the Italian capital for an overall €38m bid. The Nerazzurri included in the deal Santon and Zaniolo in order to meet the Roma economic request.

Today, the fans of the Lupi had to digest another shot. Alisson Becker flew to Liverpool to finalize the deal with the Reds. The coach of the British side decided to bid high for the Brazil international. €75 million convinced Monchi and Pallotta to accept the offer of the rich European club.

In the last two years, Liverpool poured approximately €125 million into the Roma coffers having pursued the Egyptian star Mohamed Salah in summer 2017.
