The sporting director clarified his point of view about the intricate situation of Alisson Becker. The club is waiting for offers knowing that only the club can decide the future of the Brazilian.
If Alisson Becker will leave the Italian capital it will only be for the will of his current club. The Roma sporting director Monchi firmly confirmed the club set the rules of the game in this case.
The Brazil international is chased by several top European sides but no offers have been presented to the Giallorossi. Due to his long contract with the Lupi, Alisson Becker cannot push the club to let him go before the expiration date of his agreement with Roma signed a couple of years ago.
Monchi knows that Chelsea, Liverpool, and Real Madrid could make high bids for the Brazilian champion but the Spaniard is not afraid at all.
“Eventually, Alisson’s departure depends on Roma. We weigh up any offers we receive to assess if Roma will benefit from them,” Monchi said at the press conference where Santon and Mirante have been presented. “I think Alisson will stay with us so there’s no need to talk about his possible replacements. He’ll join the group in the States.”
