Manolas: “Roma Gives Me Everything I need”

Kostas Manolas - AS Roma

The Greek defender Kostas Manolas was interviewed today in the United States. The player expressed his happiness to stay at Roma and accepted Alisson’s departure.

Kostas Manolas is ready for the new season. The defender believes that Alisson Backer received an irrefutable offer and justified the Brazil international for having decided to leave the Italian capital to join Liverpool FC.

“Probably Alisson has been the best player in the past season, one of the most important players. But when these kinds of offers arrive there’s nothing you can do. Let’s hope that Olsen and Mirante will be ready.”

The Greek international loves the Giallorossi and the eternal city.

“It’s not easy for me to think about leaving Roma because here we have everything, we feel good, the city is beautiful and this is a club that gives you everything. I see players that do not want to leave. Alisson is an exception but he received an irrefutable offer. We have to respect his choice. If somebody wants to leave you must let him go. You never have to keep him in the team,” Manolas said.

“I say that I want to stay at least 30,000 times and El Shaarawy said what he said too, so I do not want to repeat myself.”

Malcom’s saga is finally over and the Roma defender honestly admitted that the Brazilian winger is one he doesn’t know at all.

“In reference to Malcom’s case, he decided to go to Barcelona and it is better like that. I’m not going to salute him because I never knew who he was and there’s no reason for me to say something to him.”
