Florenzi, Not a Top Priority for Roma

The sporting director of the Giallorossi spoke about the situation of the Italian fullback in yesterday’s press conference highlighting the possibility to sell the player.

If Alessandro Florenzi is not happy with the Roma offer the player will be traded out as soon as possible. We could summarize Monchi’s words in this way. The Spaniard has been very clear and explained the current situation in the press conference yesterday at Trigoria.

“We made a big offer to the player but I understand his higher request. I am confident, we are working on this but the situation is the same as the day of Pastore’s presentation (June 26th),” Monchi said.

The Roma sporting director is not willing to change his parameters. Florenzi is reportedly asking for €4 million per season while the club has offered €2.7 million plus bonuses.

Likely other teams are monitoring the situation to snatch the player from Roma but the Spaniard is not afraid of that. The Giallorssi will chase other players if needed.

“We have not given him a deadline. Alessandro is a son raised here. Whatever happens, he will always leaves from the front door. I’m struggling every day to let him renew [his contract] and I’m confident,” the sporting director said.
