Cristante: “I Don’t Fight Against the Past”

The former Atalanta midfielder is ready to start an exciting path with Roma. Cristante is not scared about the competition he will face this season.

After Marcano, Coric, Bianda, and Pastore today was Cristante’s day. The former Atalanta player joined the Giallorossi this summer and was presented to the media today at Trigoria.

Bryan Cristante knows that Eusebio Di Francesco can boost his offensive qualities albeit the Italy international had been trained by another top coach so far, Gasperini.

“Di Francesco did a great job last season. The results obtained in the last Champions League are there to prove it,” Cristante said. “I had my experiences and each of them helped me to improve. When I’ve joined Atalanta, it was the right moment to demonstrate my potential.”

The Italian midfielder is aware that the Roma fans are still absorbing the tough departure of their idol Radja Nainggolan. But Cristante is not afraid that.

“Everyone must show to the fans his qualities and his desire to play for them as well. But I do not feel the pressure on me. I don’t fight against the past, I just want to follow my path to grow and work in order to do well,” clarified Bryan Cristante.
