Now that the numbers are official we can say that the Giallorossi completed a deal economically faultless.

Radja Nainggolan‘s departure from the Italian capital could be a gamble on a technical level but from a purely economic point of view it seems to be a real jackpot. Although we have to include Zaniolo and Santon in this deal, Monchi had the opportunity to offset a relevant economic effort for a 30-year-old player who had already spent four seasons in Rome.

Financially, Radja Nainggolan was on the Roma budget for around €6.1 million. This amount is the result of the amortization of the player over the years.

The sale of the Belgian star brought €38 million into the Roma coffers. Even if the real number is not the one just mentioned, due to the multiple agreement that forced the Giallorossi to pursue the two Italian players, the recorded capital gain is extremely significant, approximately €32 million.

Thanks to this structured deal, Inter recorded profits as well. Davide Santon brought approximately €8.2m to the Nerazzurri while Zaniolo €3m.
