Although Perotti is a very important player for Di Francesco, Monchi could trade him out this summer. Rumors are reporting that the Argentine could join Pochettino’s side soon.
Diego Perotti expressed his love for Boca Junior, though, the team in which he would like to close his career right after the end of his contract with Roma. But the club of Trigoria seems to be willing to let him go in order to lower the salary cap and keep El Shaarawy in the roster.
Justin Kluivert’s arrival represents a threat on the left flank. El Shaarawy is very much appreciated by the Italian coach and he is also four years younger than Perotti.
A few intermediaries got in touch with Monchi to check the feasibility of this deal and to start a negotiation. Reportedly, the Spaniard left the doors open. The Roma sporting director values Perotti about €15 million in order to make profits on this sale (the Argentine is on the Roma financial books for €10 m).
Tottenham could be Perotti’s next team. Although the player seems not to be willing to move somewhere else but Argentina, London could represent a temptation.
The imminent arrival of Javier Pastore pushes him away from Roma too. The almost former PSG champion loves playing in midfield but he could be used on the left flank as well.
Roma doesn’t seem to be a possible option for Perotti anymore.
