The former defender of the Giallorossi spoke with the talented Moroccan player about his possible move to the Italian capital.
Although the Moroccan national team is out of the World Cup due to the recent defeat against Portugal, Mehdi Benatia expressed his opinion not only about the most important international competition for national teams but he also pushed his teammate Hakim Ziyech toward Roma.
In a post-match interview in Russia, the former Roma defender stated:
“I wish him to go play in Rome. I know that Roma is considering Ziyech. He is a great player with an incredible quality. I told him that Rome is a special place. He can do well there with a very nice and warm support.”
Although Monchi is currently involved into other deals, the Spaniard is, reportedly, still interested in the Moroccan youngster. Pastore and Nainggolan could be officialized in the next 24/48 hours but Hakim Ziyech could be another great acquisition of the Giallorossi this summer.
