The former defender of the Giallorossi is still in contact with several friends at Roma. The Brazilian was impressed by the fury of the Lupi against Liverpool.
Italian satellite channel ‘Sky Sport 24’ interviewed PSG’s defender Marquinhos. The Brazil international focused on the Champions League return match played at the Stadio Olimpico between Roma and Liverpool.
“I still have friends in Rome. I have been very happy. They have been warriors against the Reds. I did not think they could play a match like that. Football is this. This is what fans want. They left the Champions League with honor,” said the defender.
The 23-year-old from Sao Paulo played with the Giallorossi until summer 2013. Walter Sabatini pursued him from Corinthians on January 3, 2013, paying a € 5.7 million fee. Just a few months after, the sporting director traded him out to PSG for € 31.4 m.
In the current season ahead of the World Cup, Marquinhos made 39 appearances scoring 2 goals and 3 assists. He is a starter for the Brazilian national team that will travel to Russia this summer.
