Florenzi’s Departure is a Likely Option

Alessandro Florenzi

Roma and Florenzi are still working to find an agreement but many clubs are chasing the player.

Although he is the vice-captain of the Giallorossi, the future of Florenzi could be far from the Italian capital. In the last few years, Alessandro Florenzi worked hard to make an impact in his beloved team but the dream to go ahead with the Lupi could be jeopardized by several issues.

One year ago, Monchi signed Karsdorp from Feyenoord in order to give him the right-defensive side. Unfortunately, the player suffered two major knee injuries but he should be available for the beginning of the next season. With the Dutch able and enlisted, Florenzi would not be sure of a spot as a starter. Likely, the player is evaluating his possibilities at Roma.

If the guy from Ostia will be relegated to the bench, he will not be in the condition to ask for a consistent salary increase. Recent rumors about his € 4 million per season request to the club of Trigoria are untrue. Monchi has never been in touch with Florenzi’s agent to discuss a contract renewal.

Di Francesco doesn’t believe in a Florenzi shifted forward. The Italian coach wants a different player up there and Cengiz Under has already impressed everyone playing on the right flank. The Turk is and will be a major actor of the Roma future.

In light of that, Atletico Madrid is monitoring the situation. The Spanish giants could make an offer to the player soon in order to replace the former Sassuolo right back Vrsaljko pursued a few years ago.

Juventus and Inter are interested in Florenzi as well. The player has many options to leave Roma next summer.
