The Italian coach spoke to the press ahead of the Champions League match Roma–Liverpool that will take place at the Stadio Olimpico on Wednesday.
Eusebio Di Francesco believes that his crew has the possibility to repeat the epic match made against Barcelona in the UCL quarterfinals. Liverpool is going to be a tough opponent on the road to Kiev but Klopp‘s men can suffer the passionate Roma fans and the ability of the Lupi to perform well in their fortress.
“We are going to face a team that tactically and mentally is completely different from Barcelona. However, we want to overturn this match. We want to do something big putting everything on the field,” said EDF.
“We have to approach this match well thinking about the defensive and offensive phases. We have to pay attention not giving them the depth they want. You must expect a fighting team. I want to see a group that gives everything on the field. I want to see the excitement and the desire to go beyond the obstacle, and that’s what we have to do tomorrow.”
“I live this game trying to treat it like the others. From the mental point of view, my entity is not divided from that of the group. The mentality that a coach transmits is key, he must enter the head of the players. I will try to push these guys even more and make them even more aware of being able to really do something big.”
