Transfer market expenses are always very relevant for a club. Nowadays, UEFA is trying to regulate the flow of money enforcing the Financial Fair Play rules albeit something must be fixed to reduce the huge gap between the top clubs and those that generate fewer revenues.
The data come from the Italian football federation. In the last year, Roma spent almost € 23 million (€ 22.948.000) in players’ agents fees. This figure is significantly higher than in 2016, where Roma’s expenses totaled € 8.7m.
The only team ahead of Roma in this special ranking is Juventus. In 2017, the Bianconeri spent more than € 42 million.
