Roma president Jim Pallotta expressed his concern and disappointment for the crazy behavior of a few supporters in Liverpool.
Football is a great sport only when the most important thing is to analyze the outcome of a match after 90 minutes played on the field. However, this sport is often marked by the crazy misbehavior of a few supporters. The life of Liverpool fan Season Cox is in danger and the Roma president is focused on that sad story that changed the feelings of what should have been a great night of international football.
When Jim Pallotta was asked about the result of his team in the Champions League clash at Anfield, the Bostonian investor stated:
“I don’t want to talk about the game at all. I don’t really give a shit about the score of the game. These games are great but they’re not life and death. Sean Cox’s situation is important, that’s life and death and that affects his family. My prayers are for him and his family.”
The image of the club, as well as that of its supporters, is in danger due to the stupidity of a few silly people that are traveling the world just to fight for ridicolous reasons.
“It’s disappointing. Rome and Roma get blamed for a few individuals who do stupid things,” said Pallotta. “I don’t blame our fans. We have unbelievably great fans across the board. What we did against Barcelona is thanks to the 99.9% of the fans in the Curva Sud who are great. But it’s time now for things to change in Italy and in Rome because it is just happening too much. We have a long history at Roma and what’s going on when you have a few stupid people is that they destroy our history and they attack our legacy. I’m tired of it.”
