The Champions League clash Roma-Liverpool will take place on Wednesday at 2:45 PM (EST). The Spaniard believes in a second epic day for the Giallorossi.
Eusebio Di Francesco‘s crew are attempting to overturn the UCL semifinals after having suffered a 5-2 defeat at Anfield Road. A great clash will take place at the Stadio Olimpico on Wednesday in front of a stadium sold-out and ready to push their idols to the final match in Kiev.
Roma‘s sporting director Monchi firmly believes the mission is not impossible. The Spaniard pushed the Roma fans to support the guys because the Lupi can really make history.
“I’d like Rome to be completely colored in yellow and red. The fans should hang banners on their balconies to show the world that Rome supports Roma,” said Monchi to the Italian outlet ‘Il Romanista’.
“Let’s show everyone that Roma fans are not violent. Beating Liverpool will be harder than defeating Barcelona. There is no tomorrow. Everything will be over on Wednesday. We must make sure we leave everything out on the field.”
The Spaniard also highlighted that on Wednesday the club “is playing for every grandfather, grandson, father, and mother.”
The sporting director had a dream with Sevilla, something that he never had the opportunity to reach. “My dream is to reach the Champions League final but albeit I won a lot at Sevilla, I never had the opportunity to get there. We have to be absolutely convinced we can do it,” concluded Monchi.
