Roma’s head coach made a few changes to surprise Lazio during the 90 minutes but the match ended scorelessly.
A match of highs and lows was predictable after Roma‘s Champions League efforts. Eusebio Di Francesco played almost the same starting 11 that devasted Barcelona on Tuesday but the final outcome was different. A scoreless Derby della Capitale left the Italian coach a little disappointed.
“It was a dirty match and we didn’t do well on the second balls,” said EFD to ‘Premium Sport’ right after the Serie A clash. “When I moved Nainggolan forward we improved but they were a little more determined than us.”
Cengiz Under replaced Patrick Schick during the second half. The Turk played good 30 minutes forcing Radu to the red card. “I changed the tactical scheme to widen the action and put crosses in the box. We created the best chances when we did that,” explained the Italian coach.
Di Francesco admitted that his team didn’t play with the right mental lucidity albeit “I couldn’t ask anything more than this. We should have had the ability to not follow their plays by playing our match,” concluded the Roma coach.
