The Italian coach spoke about the Champions League defeat 5-2 against Liverpool at Anfield. He believes that another epic comeback is possible.

Liverpool crashed Roma in England on Tuesday in the UCL first-leg match. Two late goals from Dzeko and Perotti leaves the Giallorossi with chances for another miracle at the Stadio Olimpico.

Eusebio Di Francesco believes the tactical approach is not important when you lose almost all individual battles on the field. “When I played fresher players, the team had the strength to react. It gives us something to play for in the return leg,” said the EDF right after the match.

Liverpool attacked the Lupi without mercy demonstrating a disarming athletic freshness and an enviable tactical wisdom. But when Klopp’s crew lowered the pace of play and EDF tactcially reshaped his team, Roma has been able to put the Reds in trouble.

“We must have the desire to overturn the match. It’s important we keep believing until the end. Anything can happen in football. I want to see a team with more determination in the return leg,” explained the Roma coach.

The giallorossi need three-goal at the Stadio Olimpico to get access the final match in Kiev. The Lupi made an epic victory against Barcelona a few weeks ago but as EDF confirmed, “It’s not going to be easy. But we have to show the same attitude we showed in the latter part of tonight’s game.”
