Di Francesco Anchored to the Reality

Di Francesco Eusebio - AS Roma head coach

Roma, Lazio, and Inter won their matches. The Champions League race will be very tough until the end of the season.

Roma defeated Genoa 2-1 on Sunday evening at the Stadio Olimpico but Lazio and Inter collected three points as well. The battle to qualify for the 2018-19 Champions League will be exciting until weekday 38.

Eusebio Di Francesco spoke to the media right after Roma-Genoa and confirmed that sometimes his team is a bit masochist. “We did well at the beginning of the match but then Genoa came out. We hurt ourselves with a lost ball,” said the Italian coach to ‘Premium Sport’. “We were not very lucid in the last touch. But Gonalons and Gerson have worked well.”

Right at the end of the interview, Eusebio Di Francesco received Allegri‘s compliments. Juventus‘ coach hopes that Roma can get to the UCL final match. “Good luck to Eusebio. The semi-final is an extraordinary result. I hope Roma reaches the final match,” said Allegri.

Five Serie A matches before the end of the season but the Giallorossi are still not sure to qualify for the most important European competition for clubs. EDF must keep his crew also focused on the domestic competition.
